I haven't scanned most of my scrapbook pics...I have two huge 3-ring binders, one full of "official" show pics and clippings, and the other full of my own snapshots. It's kinda daunting...but I'll let you know when I get my act together. The motel was like a suburb of Austin, on a hillside, with two restaurants and swimming pools at either end of the place, and I think there was a little store near the office. Many of the "rooms" were apartments with kitchens, even. The "bellhops" drove around in jeeps. The place was huge.
O, fangkew 4 teh Corgi! I'm not especially fond of most smaller breeds of dogs, but I do love Pembroke Corgis! So smart, loyal, earnest, and unintentionally earnest. My Jerry-Cat's markings remind me very much of a Corgi. (He got under the covers with me thisAM (the December Santa Ana winds have begun, and I think he was frightened by the noise), and purred, and purred, and drooled all over me. What more can anyone ask for? Have a good weekend; stay out of the Big Box stores, if you can! And give my regards to Austin! I'll have to post some pics of us at the enormous motel where we stayed when we played there in 1960. It was a blast! (We did a special fund-raising matinee for the Johnsons that week, and one of our principal skaters broke his ankle during his solo. LBJ wasn't worth THAT!)
Hi! Glad you had a nice birthday. I also don't believe in numbers. It's all about how you feel inside. I'm sure you look just fine! I also feel like high school was not too long ago. Oh -- how time flies! I really appreciate your help with the collectibles. I'll be sure to send you any that you are missing.
You're welcome...anytime. You and Ruth need to catch up, and I'll see what I can do about sending you the few "Retired" Collectibles that I have. I think it's kinda tacky that once they are retired, you can't even buy them with LOLcoins. But then I think it's even tackier that they have NEVER had doggie collectibles. I know a couple of beautiful Samoyeds (AKC champions, both) up in Oregon who say that they really feel discriminated against. Srsly. My b'day? It was just another day...I read and slept a lot, trying to ignore it. I don't believe the numbers! Feels like I just got out of high school yesterday...until I look in a meer-roar. ICKY!
