He's at the bridge with ratty angel wings. He had a huge tumor and it just really was nasty. He was a sweetheart and I cried my eyes out. Rats are amazing pets, every bit as loving as a dog or cat, but they go too soon. Mine are all rescues so they don't have the pedigree the professional ratteries do . . .yep is such a thing and the professionally bred rats live longer. Usually rescues are from a wholesale placed where they breed them in horrific conditions and then sell them to pet stores as either pets or snake food. People get them and then either breed them or aren't careful and they get babies or they don't want them anymore. They are fun and very neat surprisingly. Mine are very tame and cuddly.
