Is true! A new member to my poetry group was talking about being in a community band that I had looked into when we were discussing my joining a band. I said I might like to join and she got very enthused. I went for the first time last Thursday, playing xylophone and bells. Wow -- super friendly group! The other percussionists let out a whoop and one guy even yelled "Score!" when he found out I'd be with them. Can't beat that for a reception! And it went okay. I'm super rusty -- it's been 30 years, after all. I took home the sheet music to practice on my recently-refound set of bells. They give a lot of concerts and dances, which is so unlike high school with our two or three concerts per year plus football/basketball/marching. I think I'll like it a lot once I get better. Thanks again for suggesting it! I don't think I would have joined without your encouragement!
Thanks for all the kind congrats Hun. I think it got main fp after you told me they tweeted it - but I'm not on twitter so what do I know... Suppose I should be pleased they did, or maybe... cringe...?
Hi Hmph! hope you are well. Just ran across this - not sure if you've already found it -- Avi sings with Home Free on Ring of Fire -- http://youtu.be/Z32UOkKxsNY --- two basses -- and omg that last note!
Hi! Haven't checked in with you in a long time. How's tricks? I finally got my sequel published, so that's a big relief. My husband now talks about when I have my third book out. Those are the times I want to kick him in the seat of his pants. Gah!
