HI! I miss it too. :) I have been tweeting my life away (durn addicting) and listening to Pentatonix a LOT. But for a long time the computers here at the library (besides placing a time constraint on me) wouldn't make lols in a timely manner... it would choke up.
*wavies!* Yes! Good to see you too! SOrry it is short! Yes, well, on the good side, this keeps me from being on line till all hours of the night! :) But I miss all my evening friends! !I will be back on tomorrow between 1 and 5... sigh.
But, but that sounds ike a fab greeter outfit :) Glad you were able to help her out. Surprising it ws mostly new people. You must be one of the few repeat volunteers. Who does all the cooking? Dd you get a lot of snow your way?
:) You are welcome! :) It was as expected. :) I visited my Sister's oldest girl and her brood, my sis and her husband and the rest of the nieces and nephews were there too (dropped off the Green Bean Casserole watched them open gifts and then headed to the church) They had me listed as 'greeting' people at the door. I was not dressed exactly for that (blue jeans and tennies and my penguin Christmas zip up sweater) so I traded with a girl in a nice little black dress in heels and did the 'take out' (stuffing boxes with food) instead. :) She looked relieved. :) They had 90% new people and they put me in a job I had never done before... smh. Turns out the woman/girl in charge of 'take out' was the one who was 'in charge' last year. She hadn't done it before then (I tried helping her last year but never really got 'through'), she was certainly much more welcoming of my help this year, since I was the only one there who had done it before. :) As for the people? They don't even know we exist... the food comes out... goes back...etc...poof! Christmas magic! :D Yes, I hope to get that phone thing straightened out, but it is not looking good right now. :( But I do have power! :D Thank you for all YOUR blessings! :)
Thank you for the New Year's wishes and I hope your Chritmas was wonderful. I know the people who beenfitted from your volunteer work at Christmas surely blessed you. I wish for you to be able to get online at home again so you don't have to be trudging to the liberry all the time :)
$:) I switched computers... letting the other one dry out. :) Oh, both my parents are doing the 'snowbird' thing... I will be doing the usual volunteer work for the interfaith dinner for those who need someplace to go on Christmas, at that church in my home town, after I visit my Sister's oldest to watch the gift exchange in the morning..
Rats, that must be frustrating. Yeah, a busy time for everyone now but especially you what with the Christmas concert. I do hope you will be able to get internet at home again soon. Oh I'll have to check that out. Always looking One of pur favrits are Mannheim Steamroller Christmas,
:) Thanks for the LOL!! :D I don't have internet access at home and up until very recently, opening ICHC on the library computer dragged everything to a complete stand still! So, it wasn't really feasible to do it very often. Now they has NOO 'PUTRZ!!! (or newER computers and things go a bit more smoothly, but I have been on some OT and then there is rehearsal, and I am still constrained by the 'you're in the library- we're shutting the 'putrs down... NOW!' thing... So, it has been a bit of a challenge... and I have been obsessing over Pentatonix!!! Their new version of "Little Drummer Boy" has me just in a tizzy!!! :)
