Thank you for your comforting words, Fred. I know you are right, and we did what had to be done. I suspect there is a huge party going on at the Bridge. Blackie had some close family and friends already there, and as you say, there are many nice kittehs there for him to meet as well. I hope your Blackie will be happy and healthy for many, many years. Gratefully, Brenda
I have 2 black cats. Noo Noo and Spooky. Boo is long of leg and a long lean body with coppery gold eyes. We were told he was a bombay. He's a rescue. Spooky, I snatxhed up off a trailer road when he was about 3 months old. He's a poofball. I have a Siamese and a calico I live on a farm and people see the barn and think we would need a barn cat so they dump these innocent cats on me. I feed them. Those I can catch I take to the vet, fix'em and find foeever homes. My most recent rescue were 2 brothers, Zeus and Apollo. Their pics on in my pics. They found forever homes. My 2 dogs are also rescues. I saw a small truck hit a luittle puppy right in front of me. We were just going to let her heal then find her a home but she found a way into our hearts. Fred was in a terrible place and they treayed this old well behaved, trained short haired pointer like trash. He comes to me when I call him. He loves to snuggle. I saw the mama of Zues and Apollo out in a field so I'm going to break out the cat trap to catch her, spay her and let her be a part of the outside family.
I thank you for the information. It's great but one thing is bothering me. I'm not so sure I like your I hope ur happy lol. Putting cats in water when they don't really want to be isn't what I think is funny. But, hey, welcome to ICHC!
Those are wonderful suggestions for ElizabethRose and I use them myself (energy assistance & homestead credit) I'm going to have her take a look at your message. I also remembered this morning that 2 years ago the local humane society started a program to help disabled afford their cat food so maybe her local one might have something like that too....
