OH yeah! Got to be able to cuddle with my babies! and I got some massive painkillers which are making my eyes closed already. I came on to make a birthday card for Wally but have to stop and say hi to all my friends first :-) :-) :-)
Well, I hope the doctor gave you plenty of good pain relief medicines - just in case.. If they did one hand first, then you can still pet your sweet kitties wiff the other hand, which I'm sure they'll appreciate very much.
thank you so much my dear friend :-) I was just saying to sylvia that's my hand is still numb which the doctor said he would do. You know how you can't eat after the dentist while you are still numb? Well I can't pick anything up at all!! Its lips right you're my fingers! Lol!
Hi there, Booboo.. I Ed'ed that you are having surgery on Friday for carpal tunnel.. I hope that everything goes perfectly and that you recover very quickly. Do they do both hands at the same time? or first one, and then the second one a little later? How long is the recovery period? And will you have some help around the apartment for you and your kitties? I sure wish the medical establishment would make things easier on the people that need medical help. Take care and all the very very best for you, Boo. Fred.
thank you for the congrats :-) yup it really is a true thing. National turtle day is actually world turtle gay and it was started in 2000 by the American tortoise Rescue Association. I never knew it existed until I read Evans blog on cheezburger! who would have thought?! Hope you have a wonderful happy holiday weekend :-) hugs, boo
Hi my sweet friend! I am getting back to normal but still quite a bit to do. The house was listed Saturday and sold Tuesday. Its a short sale so there's tons of paperwork associated with that. I also have to finish up the house cleaning but it's getting better ;) Sure do miss you! !!
Boo, I haven't seen you recently on the site.. I hope all is now going well with you and that you made some good money with the Estate Sale.. Are you kitties getting accustomed to their new home? Are you too adjusting to a new environment? There should n't be anymore shoveling of snow now! And you heating/cooling bills should come down a lot..
I hope you got even more moneys on Sunday! I'm sure any extra money will be very helpful.. Have your kitties staked out where they want to sleeps and hang out in your apt? Do they have a window or patio to look out onto?
Ohai, Guy!! Yes, we wound up with $1,500 on Saturday and don't know about Sunday yet. I have spent the month moving things BACK in the house for the sale because of the lack of room here.....I almost wound up in the E.R. this weekend. My ankles were SO swollen (it is caused by the heart) and I developed terrible rashes on my ankles. The Cardiologist said it was my skin breaking down from the swelling. I stayed off my feet ALL weekend and everything is back to normal now. YAY!!! The cats tried to follow me out the door last week when I went out to go get the mail. They just started walking right along with me!!!
Hi there, Boo.. I hope that your Estate Sale went well and you got in lots of moneys! Are you and your sweet kitties getting settled in in your new place? IYou both have to get accustomed to the new environment. It's great though that you said that you are in an excellent neighborhood. Are there any grassy areas with trees nearby?
Oh my, Boo.. I hope you can get through the Estate Sale reasonably well and then settle in and relax in your new apartment. I know how hard it is to move, because I moved last June, and it was very hard on me. I'm so sorry about sweet Kirby going over the Rainbow Bridge. That is always a hard thing to deal with. Don't worry about the 2 stolen crocks, just consider it part of the cost of moving. I got rid of tons of stuff I had accumulated, and I'm glad I don't have that excess stuff to take up room in my apt. Aren't there individual waiting lists for each apt complex? Or are you talking about some other Program for the Rental Assistance in Eau Claire? I'm glad you're in a very good neighborhood. You'll feel safer that way. Take care. And I wish you all the best. Fred
Ohai, my sweet friend!! The move was pretty rough (example: someone made off with two antique crocks valued at anywhere from $75 to 300) and the worst part is that even though I left behind 3/4the of my stuff I can only have about HALF of the things I moved so the other half has to go back to the apartment :( And It's got to be done before this weekend because I am having a professional estate sale!!! Right now, I am exhausted down to my bones. Yup, I applied for rental assistance and am the waiting list. Here in Eau Claire the wait is 4 years. (Yikes!) The place I'm in allows 2 cats and my sweet boy Kirby went over the bridge last month due to stomache cancer bringing my cat count to three. PLEASE don't tell anyone about Kirby because I just can't deal with the condolences right now. I talked to the management about making an exception to this two cat rule and he asked the owner and got it approved. But I can't tell the other tenants about my special deal. The city owned complexes owned by the county here only allow ONE pet. Period. I saw a WHOLE bunch of apartments that would take 2 cats and they were REAL dumps!!! This place is huge and very well maintained and in SUCH a great neighborhood that my car insurance went down ;) It's just been a tough time for me all around but should settle down after next weekend.
Hi Boo.. I've been thinking about you and wondering how your move to an apartment has gone. I hope that it went well for you, and that you're settled in now with your kitties. Also, can you qualify for low income housing? My nephew is on Disablity and he had a 2 BR apartment in an excellent building. His girlfriend also was on Disability and she too had a 2 BR apt in the same building. And the rent was just 30% of monthly income. The got married and she moved in with him, but kept her 2 BR apt for storage. Then the got married and qualified for a NEW HOUSE in a very good neighborhood. There are often waiting lists to get into the better Low Income Housing places, maybe a couple of months or more. Some places allow pets while others don't, just like regular apt complexes. Well I hope all is well with you. And how did your kitties do?
This went through really weird. When I first called on the ad it took a week to get the appointment to see it and THEN the manager had to ask the owner if I could have 3 cats. THAT took ANOTHER week to get the answer. During those weeks all I could REALLY do is to clean out closets and drawers (which I did) and when he finally said he got it approved it left me only 3 weeks to pack. I am going from 1500 square ft down to 600 and I have a LOT of antiques. The other nice thing about the apartment is it's only $25 extra a month for ALL the cats where everywhere else charged 25 each cat (total 75) and that is if they were allowed at ALL. This is clean and orderly although it's terribly dated but I can ALSO paint any color I want. It's going to be a warm burgundy when I finish.
Hi Boo.. I knew you were looking for a new place, but I thought that you were having trouble finding something that was affordable and in a "good" location.. Did you find something that works for you and your kitties? And do they accept kitties? Many places will ask for extra money as a deposit or per month for a pet.. I moved myself about 7-8 months ago, and it was really hard on me. I was lucky to find an apartment that accepts kitties and doesn't charge anything extra.
I must apologize for not telling you directly. I REALLY thought that I did, but this whole moving thingy has caused my fragile memory to just flake out!!! I have been spending 10 to 11 hours each day packing. I have gone through 25 packages of bubble wrap already and the house looks like a UHaul garage!!! I just hope that YOU had a really great Valentine's day because you sure deserve it. :)
Boo.. I just stopped by to wish you a bery happies Balantine Day! I hopes all is going well with you,, -- I just ED'ed your PM with cataff.. I'm so very happy for you that your medicine has been approved! That's absolutely wonderful news! That goes to show you that sometimes wonderful things do indeed happen to wonderful people - that's you, Boo!!
