Ohai! I hope all is well with you. I know you worked hard making all those wonderful KKPS LOLs about Mischief's adventures, so I can understand if you are taking a break. I miss you and hope you will rejoin us soon. Have a good Thanksgiving.
Thank yu so mcu! I am enjoying teh Mischeff story myselfs! I certainly hope dat Mischeff can beat dat nawty Krusher guy, but all teh odds are against sweet littl Mischeffs! I guess we got to pray to Ceiling Cat for help!
Thanks for the compliment and good wishes. I have never had any luck with suction cups staying in place, so I hope this kitteh's did better than any of the ones I've had. I never tried any with a kitteh bed.
I really loke your new LOL wiff teh kittie stretched out napping in one of those window beds.. I certainly hope the suckee cups hold, so kittie's sleeps aren't interrupted! I think you deserve a FP for that LOL..
When you weren't looking at the opossums, I guess you "didn't" see Pogo. He is retired now that he is three and a half years old (average life span of an opossum is three years). That means he doesn't go out for programs and isn't brought into the main building for tours either, but he is well cared for and lives with the other two opossums. That's Buddy in the LOL. He is quite impressive. Eagles are very difficult to train and work with, but he has become fond of his primary handler and does very well for her and the other select few who handle him This video shows his enclosure, which is fondly referred to as The Buddy Dome: http://tinyurl.com/gqjjbam and this is a video of his trainer, Raina, feeding him: http://tinyurl.com/zwtews2 These are YouTube videos. I shortened them to make sure they will work for you. If you want to see more videos from the Center, just put Wildlife Center of VA in the YouTube search box. They have many up there. If you add Jaz to the name in the search box, you will find two videos of her. She is quite smart. I'm enjoying the flexibility of the Beta Builder but do miss speech and thought bubbles. If you see the mess I've made of them, you already know that though. At least peeps can tell what they are--I hope.
I went to the Wildlife Center site and I saw all those beautiful animals (excepting the opossums - hehe).. I especailly like those hawks and the bald eagle they have (Buddy). And they even have that crow Jaz. Hey, I really like that LOL you did of the eagle spreading his magnificent wings.. Those eagles real are BIG BIRDS! I'm very happy you can now make all those LOLs wiff the Beta Builder.
The Wildlife Center does marvelous work. Here are all their education animals, including the surrogates. None can be released, but they are now an important part of the staff: http://wildlifecenter.org/critter-corner/education-animals If you click on a photo, you get that animal's story. There are plenty of owls and hawks and a crow. I've met all of them except the surrogates (they need to be kept wild so they can do their jobs) and the opossums.
I was very happy to create that Victory LOL for you because I'm so happy you can now use the Beta Builder for your LOLs. That's a beautiful owl. I really like owls, and hawks and crows! The crows especially seem to be quite sociable birds always seem to find food and stay plump even in the winter.. It's wonderful that the Great Horned Owl was able to be raised by that surrogate parent owl. The Wildlife Center sounds like it does a lot of great work for the animals. YAY!! for that!
It is sad, but I'm afraid accurate, that the losing of cheezpeeps is likely to continue due to the attitude of the owners. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that sweet Victory LOL. That really made me feel good and is very nice of you. Thank you, too, for the congrats. That owl is a great horned owlet that was orphaned and being raised by a surrogate parent, a great horned owl who couldn't be released because he can't fly silently due to the injury that brought him to the Wildlife Center but is very good with young owls of his species and teaches them everything they need to know to live on their own. He raised five owlets this year, all of whom have been released.
Oh, I'm so very happy for you that you can now use the Beta Builder and start making your great LOLs. The LOL you just made wiff dat BEAUTIFUL owl is super! I hope hims gets hiz dinner befor it gets too far away! Being unhappy with the new owners is very understandable and completely justified. They have performed terribly since taking over. They don't communicate with us or tell us their plans. And of course the loss of our builders is so sad. Also, we've been losing cheezpeeps over time too for different reasons. I hope things can recover, but I have my doubts about that, because of how poorly the new owners have performed.
The Beta builder works in Firefox: http://cheezburger.com/8982871040 Now I have to figure out what in my Chrome is causing it not to function. I know others with Win 10 and Chrome can use it. I prefer Chrome of all the browsers I've worked with, but for now I will use Firefox to access ICHC. Thanks for getting me to do this. My snit is the real reason I didn't try another browser, but I know the new owners don't care whether I make LOLs or not or even if I leave entirely. It's so sad the way things went downhill once the folks who started the site sold it.
