JMU plays Delaware tomorrow, and they are tough. I don't know how things will go. The Dodgers have apparently decided they don't care about home field advantage--left in a pitcher who had nothing and have given away four runs with the Giants still batting, but the game is pretty much over. I'm still watching because of Vin. I'm sorry he has to call a mess like this for one of his last games. I haven't even thought about the games tomorrow. It has rained here all week, and what I'm really hoping to see is some sun tomorrow. Hope you enjoy the games you watch. Hopefully UTEP will surprise you. Have a good night.
I see more FPs in your not too distant future. You are making great ones! I will root for the Dodgers as long as they play, and I don't know after that. I wish they could win it all for Vin's last season, but that's not going to happen. I don't think the Rangers can beat Boston, but time will tell. Have a fast Friday.
Thank you for the congrats. It has amazed me that the run has gone on this long--just luck. I don't know who will replace Miles, but I suspect for the rest of this season they will have an interim coach. I don't know why so many schools fire a coach so early in the season. Other schools aren't going to let good coaches out of their contracts at this time of year. They may as well have stuck with Miles the rest of the season. There certainly aren't many Sabans around at any point in the year. The Giants have to get into the playoffs first, and that's certainly not a done deal. Then if they do, they will have to play the Cubs. Unless Chicago self destructs, as they have done multiple times in the post season over the years, they will be tough to beat. The Giants have no bullpen, not a good way to go into the playoffs. Have a good Thursday. This week seems to be moving along quite quickly.
I agree that Miles had big shoes to fill, and we know schools generally aren't very patient anyway. I don't think the Dodgers will get far. They had a lot of trouble scoring runs Sunday and aren't doing much tonight either. Vin is not calling the series in San Diego. I know he will call the game in San Francisco Sunday, but I don't know if he will call all the games there. I doubt it though. It's sad thinking that the last time with him is upon us. The Cubs have been so quirky in playoffs before, so I don't assume anything about them. They certainly have the talent to take it all. You may be right about the Red Sox. Have a good Wednesday.
Ohai Jadzia! Just going to say once: forgive me, when I added 65 new "Sylvia friends" I decided I can no longer send FP congrats and birthday wishes, it's too much for me. So, for all time - FP congrats and happy birthday! :~)
Congrats on your friends of the eaten bird Lolcats FP! I suspect some of your other recent LOLs will hit the FP too. The Cowgirls seem to have found a quarterback--too bad Jones will go right back to Romo as soon as he's cleared to play.
I'm so sorry to hear your aunt isn't doing well! Ordering in is good too! ;-) Did you buy anything at the mall? And where did you go to eat? I did finish the mirror. And it turned out as good as the coat rack. They fit perfecty together now :-D I bought a very old small wooden suitecase at the restore shop this weekend. It's really cool, because it's laced with velvet on the inside. It needs to be fixed a little (small scraches on the lid), so I'm going to pimp (mazaik) that one too :-D And we did the grocery shopping as usual. We did also order some plants for the hedge. And a small tree for the backyard. They'll arrive early November. By that time we can take down the fence, and replace it with the beech hedge. And the tree is an American sweetgum. I hope TWD won't drag either. It's not as good as it was anymore, as it is. Well...... considering Ricks track record with woman...... Wow, so many series started up again!! And I haven't even seen most of the previous seasons yet!! Like OUaT. Hope you had a great weekend!! Have a great Monday!! :-D *hugz*
Here is some of the ceremony for Vin: http://m.mlb.com/lad/video/topic/8911656/v1184499383/collad-dodgers-honor-vin-scully-in-pregame-ceremony/?c_id=la I'm sorry UTEP didn't do better. JMU had three penalties--not bad. I hope they will forget about going to the BCS because I fear they would be like UTEP, not really competitive. I watched some of the Florida State game and a little of the LSU game. I saw the Notre Dame score and was sad. I've enjoyed the Dodgers game--easy win. Their magic number is going to be one now. I hope they can win tomorrow and clinch for Vin's last home game. Have a good Sundog.
