I'm all ready for St. Paddy's. Just hand me my green beer. LOL I had a stomach flu for 2 weeks. It drove me nuts, just when I thought I was over it, it would hit again. I blame this crazy weather for all the colds. This up and down is tough on a person. Poor Bella, I had a german shepard that was scared of thunder. Big tough dog turned to a chicken if she even felt it in the air. Sure sounds like you had a rough night. The storm must have been right here because the lightning & thunder hit right after one another, for a while. Well have a great weekend, lets hope it brightens up later.
Aw look at you ... all St. Patricked up ... I'm loving this weather but I would love it more if I could get rid of this darn cold - it's like day 9 already!!! Poor Bella gets scared of the thunder. When I was in bed on Thursday night Soot was on my left side like she always is but poor Bella was under the blankies in front of me cuddled up. I was so hot with both of them generating heat - plus I had the windows closed and the drapes drawn so that it would be less noisy and the lightening wouldn't light the room so much. I was trying not to cough because scares Bella too but then would I couldn't hold it any longer and I would cough - poor Bella would run out from under the blankies and we would get another thunder roll and she would jump back up under the blankies again. It was a very long night .... Mike said Toronto didn't get anything !
Hey - you just "liked" a LOL by 2katmom - that's a picture I uploaded of Eric - my boyfriend (mbyaudible) - just adopted him from Oasis Animal Rescue (on Simcoe St) - the little grey kitten on the stairs - I made up a LOL of him http://cheezburger.com/View/5828384256 (read my comment) I also uploaded a picture of "Lucy" . Oasis sent Lucy with Eric and asked Mike to foster Lucy for 2 weeks while Eric got used to his new surroundings. Well, of course he fell in love with Lucy too - so they both now have forever homes.
There may still be a Coles in the shopping centre still. But if I go to the OC I usually head to Chapters. I always end up spending money there. I've been looking at Kindle. Would be nice to have something like that, but there's so many things I'd love to get. LOL Only 2 weeks to read a book. That can be a little hard sometimes. I think you better get reading, forget housework, just read. That was a cute pic of Bella, I love some of the positions cats fall asleep in. Don't know how they breath sometimes.
I didn't know we even had any Cole's Bookstores anymore. I frequented the Cole's at the shopping centre during my HS days - That was WAAAYYYYY before the invent of PC's - the Cole's Notes sure came in handy! I've been downloading books from the Library onto my iPad lately - it's pretty good - except you only get 2 weeks then it disappears. I have a book that will vanish tomorrow at 4:54 and I'm only half way done - its about 500 pages !
LOL Got to teach the kitties how to start the car.....wait, that might not be a good thing. They'd take off to party - with the credit card. LOL Damn, I just found out Coles in the 5 Points closed. I liked that bookstore, got lots of books there at great prices. Guess I have to look somewhere else now.
Thanx for the collectibles. Well baseball gloves can be lucky - specially for baseball players. And they sure safe yur hands from those hard baseballs. LOL Are yu collecting anything special? It says it's -11C, feels like -21C. Brrrrr and we have to go out get some groceries. I'll be sending out the hubby first to warm up the truck. LOL Take a look at my collectibles and see if yu can use any. I still have a few. Stay warm!

Used to go on Lake Scugog with my Dad and drive like crazy thru snow drifts. Man was that fun.....scared the heck out of the guys out ice-fishing though. LOL

Must have looked like a winter wonderland. I agree it's beeutiful to look at. Your cousins from New Zealand must have been in awe with all the beauty. I don't ski or skate - just curl - so after the first scraping of my windshield in the wind chill of -12, I had enuf. Have a happee New Years ! Yes, now the skwerls have the sno - I was worried about the little buggers. Although they drive me crazy in my bird feeders.

My cousin who moved to NewZealand is up visitin an I'm havin a great time with her hole family. Hey the birds & skwirrlz can eat sno an they'll be fine. We jus hav to hav mor sno for dem. LOL Hope yur Christmas was great! Hav a fun & happee neu year!
Oh wow! Good thing yu didn't go up into the attic, who knows what yu would hav run into. I finally told my Mom about that ghost at Sandbanks and she looked at me and asked if I remember walking around the Lodge with her & my Dad and there was an old man standing on the porch of one of the little cabins there. I thought back and could remember once seeing a man just standing there. My Mom said she wonder's what would have happened if we would have said hi to him. It got us to thinking if it was the ghost we saw a few yrs later. Now that I think about it.....it's strange that my Dad never walked over to talk to him. My Dad would talk to everyone! We used to joke about him talking to every 'Tom, Dick & Harry'. Now that I think....why didn't he go over? did he feel uncomfortable? I've never thought about it till now. Strange. I'm going to have to check out that web-site. Those ghost tours at the Scugog museum only cost $5., that's nothing nowadays. Got to seriously think about going.
