Have a great move, King Tuck! The book-signing went pretty good. I didn't like the way the author tables were set up, tho. In a sort of box shape open at the aisle end. The two authors right at the aisle edge sold gang-busters, but their customers blocked shoppers from going further into the box to check out the other books being offered. And then *boom* at about 5:00 pm the customers just about dribbled down to nothing. The author next to me sold two books and another sold about five. I was lucky to sell 29. Plus, I had a spike in online sales that afternoon/evening for some reason. It was fun and I met some nice pro-cat folks. There were cat-adoptions going on at the show, so maybe that helped my sales. Next up is a signing in my Michigan hometown in Dec. during a tree-lighting festival. I hope to have the sequel done before Christmas. (Note the word "hope" in that sentence.) Again, glad to see your lols and presence back on the Cheez! ~~ J
Glad to hear! I have my first big-time book-signing event next Saturday at the state fairgrounds. It's a giant Xmas gift show that gets 65K shoppers. I'm hoping to actually sell a copy, but it's a tiny hope. Cool to have the experience even if I don't sell any copies. Got another lined up for Dec. in my old hometown in Michigan during their downtown tree-lighting festival. Okay. Now I need to flip over my chicken and make the sesame sauce and noodles. Glad to finally see your name on the ol' Cheez again, King Tuck! Hope you are doing very, very well!
Ohai, JB!! I sure did get the book, and was thrilled to find a personal inscription from the awesome author! That's the first honor of its type for me, and the book shall have a place of honor always in my home. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :-)
Glad you're still alive in the world! We all miss you, ya know! Well, maybe not everybody. Some people are probably off looking at pony pictures and giggling about pink stuff, but the rest of us Cheezers miss you tremendous! Glad you're all off in a good place. And that you're givin all your lollin to your lady!
Call for lols! ICHC University is looking for lols depicting campus life, classes, college life and activities, etc. The Univ. is for humans, a place to learn to create lols and to care for lol animals. Here's the site for examples: http://ichcuniversity.cheezburger.com/ Send em if you got em! ~~ Jenny
(Stop! Blushing n crap!) And about Weegee -- I'm trying an experiment. I'm feeding her twice as much as I had been. She's so active (Jack Russell, don't cha know) that I wonder if she's dropping too low blood-sugar-wise. She's thin, but not skinny, so if this works I'll probably back off slightly on this new feeding amount to make sure she doesn't pudge up. Thanks for your kind support! ~~ J
Poor Weegee. The seizures must be very disorienting. I hope she gets better soon. And let's not kid ourselves; it's time you dropped the "almost like a" prefix from the moniker of real writer. Your magnificent literary adventures are an inspiration.
Glad no one Tucknapped you or nuthin! Whew! Was going to send out Cheez n Reskew! Things are sort of okay. My pup, Weegee, has been having seizures. Had one today again, which is scary and terrible! The vet won't do anything unless they get very severe or frequent because apparently the meds for seizures are almost as hard on dogs as the seizures themselves. They aren't frequent that we know, but we aren't with her 24/7. Other than worrying about her . . . I'm putting in a big, sincere effort to finish book #2. I gave a reading of my poems (humorous stuff) to about 250 middle-school kids. I am getting interviewed soonish for a journal that goes out to maybe 10,000 -- probably be in mailboxes this fall (haven't heard anything since I said yes to the interview). Sales are down, as they usually are in the summer, so I have some more time to write. The no-money thing sucks, but the extra time is nice. I sit outside with the laptop with no internet connection to tempt me back on the Cheez and just work for three to six hours per day. Almost like a real writer! So, that's life over here. Hope your "other stuffs happened" is good stuffs, not bad stuffs! ~~ J
