Hai kat! I think you should be good. Sounds like you have a lot of security already going on. I would make sure that your passwords have a mixture of letters, numbers and characters. We've done things on our end, so your information is secure. Hope that helps!
I'm glad you are enjoying my LOLs, and I appreciate your message and the comment (so true). Here is a link to people who can help you either safely keep XP for another year or help you make 8.1 more user friendly for people moving from XP. I have dealt with Cloudeight for over fifteen years (it's two great people who really know their stuff and are totally honest). If you want to keep XP, I highly recommend their second service on the page. I use Emsisoft for anti-virus and anti-malware. I've been using computers since 1981, and it's the best protection software I've ever had, and they are supporting XP at least for another year. I've learned so much from the Cloudeight folks that I was able to customize my 8.1 myself, and my desktop is pretty much XP style. This is what they can do for you if you go the 8.1 route. The mail program they will set up for you is very much like Outlook Express, and you can import all your saved messages and contact list to it. They will help you do that and set up your accounts for you. They set up remote access to your computer (you make an appointment via e-mail), but you are in control. You see everything they do and can shut down the access in a second if you wish, but there is no reason to. They are trustworthy.
