FIVE?! What was that about you'd reached your limit? LOL I usually wait till a kitty has made a certain impression on me before I try to name them. Sometimes it's from appearance. One porch kitteh is Marshmallow, for her light-colored Siamese look, but with fluffy long hair. Gray ones in the past were Sterling, Cole, Paloma (it means "dove" in Spanish & she was dove gray), & Ashley. Some are from behaviors or who they're related to - Little Stripe looks like a little version of her tortie mother, but with stripes worked in. Some are book/movie/TV names. Sometimes it seems like a kitteh will "tell" me his/her name. I'll look at them, think, "What should your name be," & I'll almost hear a voice in my head saying, "I'm..." & a name. Good luck w/ the naming & w/ finding homes if you're only fostering them. >^..^<
I didn't hold the grey one, but I pet him. I think he was focused on what was going on outside his cage.
Just last night we had to "rescue" them - from a downpour! Lilah's nest was on the side of our house, right where the eaves pour tons more water. Not sure where she was, but she didn't show until we'd been going thru the flowerbed for a few minutes. Found all 4, soaked. Brought them in, dried them, used the low setting on the hair dryer to warm them, & waited for the storm to pass. We put them back out about 2 hours later, still wrapped in a towel inside our extra carrier. Lilah went right in to nurse them - no rejection! Yea!!! I don't think I've ever held one so small before... *sigh* :)

Hi Keckiebear, Thanks for wanting to be my lolfriend. Kudos to you for your kindness to animals. Nice to meet you, sandyra
Greetings, keckiebear. Thanks for the friend request! Wow, you have a lot of animals. My husband and I have four kittehs that stay inside and lots of porch kittehs. They're technically feral but lots of them like to be petted. One just had a litter of four on Monday. I already have one person who might take one when they're old enough. After they're weaned we'd like to have the mama, Lilah, spayed... if we can wrangle her into a carrier! This is her 4th or 5th litter so it's long past due. Good for you finding homes for kittehs!!!
Kitten adoption land? I'm hoping to be there soon! Do you work with a shelter or do you do this all on your own? Good work!!! I has a proud to know you!
