Yeah, sometimes I think it's a shame. Y'know we all took Spanish lessons before we moved out here but it's all kinda gone out the window coz we never get a chance to speak with the Spanish. I can speak "Bar" Spanish pretty well, and I'm working on my "Supermercado" Spanish but that's about it! I think, because my folks never really got confident in their lessons, they picked somewhere where they would not get "into trouble" when they start "getting on" and needing like health care and stuff! (I think the thought that scares them most is not being able to communicate with a doctor!) So we ended up here!
I'm in In little town called Pinar de Campoverde which is in Alicante on the Costa Blanca. Waayyy down da bottom bit! We're about 10 minutes drive from the coast. Nice views, and, as I said, a lot of English. My parents moved here to retire 5 years ago and persuaded me and my BF to join them.
Aha! You'll have to forgive me - geography was NEVER my strong spot! Perhaps a giant WORLD MAP(!) would be a better investment for me! Ok, so, (showing further ignorance...) my brother lives in Bilbao which I "know" is in Bask Country, is that anywhere around you? Your English is fantastic BTW, I would never have guessed it wasn't your first language! And, how "jelly" am I of your travels? Wow! I could only ever dream of those places. You have an amazing eye for a photo too! xxx
