That's the one! Go figure, I'd already faved it. Man... seeing the Yardbirds live. I am SO jealous! Was this with or without Jimmy Page? I did some reading on who was in the band when. They were both in it in '66, but not for long. Both these guys - in the same band!!! =:O ++ Thanks for faving this one: http://cheezburger.com/8974660608 (The Starry Grump). Not sure why it's still going nowhere; I thought it was a total hoot. Ah well, the ways of Cheezland are fickle and mysterious. Gonna try to get those butter sculpture pics uploaded now. TTFN.

Hiya Mama. Snow? <shudder> Erg. 'Kay, definitely not moving to MT. I can't imagine dealing w/ such a long season of wet, muddy ground & gray, gloomy skies. Even when it's neither, it's because it's so cold the ground can't get mushy & you're dealing w/ snow blindness. Yup, I'm just a barrel of laughs when it comes to extolling the not-virtues of snow. ++ I know exactly what you mean about being down in the dumps. Even if all here at ICHC were still functioning as it should, I'd be down about Sylvia. But the absolute battle to make LOLs & even get them "take" is both maddening & so depressing. I feel like I've lost partial use of myself w/o this much loved form of expression. No, it's not even in the same galaxy as truly being disabled, but I do feel silenced. Just sitting around making LOLs would be such therapy right now... if it were possible. I've tried a couple other builder sites but I haven't become truly conversant. If the New Cheezlords want to look like they're trying but really mean to drive people away, I think they may succeed. F*****g Bastards. Sigh. ++ Moving on (yes, please!), have you met Winnie face to face before? Any idea what concert she's going to? Please tell her I'm still in awe of her virtual non-stop ability to create side-splitting humor for such a long time & that I'm sorry about whatever disagreement happened between her & the old Cheezlords. I never knew what it was about, but it was a sad day for fans of hers when she left ICHC. ++ I don't think Santana was in the LOL I'm (not) remembering. I think it was someone who's no longer with us, but I don't recall if it was a recent departee or a while ago. And no wonder you got to see so many great acts - SF in the late '60s? Holy Cow - that was the mother-lode of music! Were you of age then to go to nightclubs? In the "doesn't even compare but still cool" department, when we saw Styx at the fair, during "Come Sail Away," I noticed the colored lights on the Ferris wheel were changing in time to the music. Definitely looked like a starship. :D ++ Mark's pretty much healed. His ankle has a tiny twinge now & then. But his psyche is still shaken. ++ I'll try to upload pics of the butter sculpture. Been having trouble getting things to upload. ++ Can yo do me a favor? I made what I thought was a killer LOL, but it's been on my DB for 3 days & has no faves. When it's busy here & peeps will see, could you fave it for me? Fang-Q so mush in advants. http://cheezburger.com/8974660608 (Hugs)

Ohai, sweetie!! We've had snow on the East Ridge (that was Labor Day) so no picnicing. Not that I'm much of a picnic person any more.Been down in the dumps since Sylvia left us but I know that is absolutely not what she would have wanted. I am mostly reading and playing on FB (have hooked up with lots of cheezpeeps there). Kind of excited for October though. Winnie Wonka is coming through town on her way to a concert in Missoula and we are going to cheezmeet for lunch! I haven't been to a concert in ages but when I lived in San Francisco and Lake Tahoe in the late 60s, I saw EVERYONE!! I think maybe the lol you're thinking of is the Carlos Santana story about him sweating on me at a show at Lake Tahoe. I'll look around for it. My son and I saw lots of shows in Reno, too, in the 80s. My Mom worked for a radio station and we got free tickets. Our favorite, though, was the Beach Boys because it was outside on a great summer evening! Sorry to hear about your car/truck troubles. Has Mark healed from the crash yet? Give him my best, please! My cats seem a little upset with me that it is getting cold so early this year. Apparently, I am in charge of food AND weather now. Personally I love it. The trees are turning and wood smoke is in the air. Thankfully all the rain has put out the big fires in this part of the state so it's not Forest Fire smoke anymore. The Fair sounds really fun. I think I'd kinda like to see some butter sculptures. Can you take pictures?? LOL!! Love you long time, my friend. Massive hugs from me Six and Magic!! <3

Hiya Mama! Been ages since we caught up. How you been doing? Anything interesting or different happen up your way? ++ We've had a variety of weather here, a real smorgasbord. We're inches ahead on rain for the year, which is good overall but has made our humidity miserable. ++ Well, we're gonna have to buy our second new vehicle this year. >:( Mark's truck is close to 250K miles and has started developing more problems and more expensive ones, at that. Better to go ahead now than wait for the current one to go to pieces on the road. ++ On a better note, our state fair starts tomorrow. I'm hoping to get to it at least a couple of times to check out the domestic arts building (needle arts, quilting, etc), as well as the art displays. There are professional and amateur works in painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, etc. Oh, and also the.... Butter Sculpture! It wouldn't be State Fair without that. Now that the two best stores in our town for Christmas shopping are gone, I'll probably also be looking to get some of that done while all the "exotic" booths are available. (Exotic isn't saying much in our state, though.) We'll check in at the birthing barn and enjoy the petting zoo, too. We passed on the concerts this year. Yes, one is Lynyrd Skynyrd, but we saw them there less than 5 years ago. Over the years we've seen Styx, Boston, Huey Lewis, the Doobie Brothers, and others... only a mile and a half from our house! I remember you posting a LOL sometime back about having seen one of the classic rock greats live, back in the '70s I think, but I can't for the life of me remember who it was! If you do, can you remind me? I'd love to fave the LOL, too, but don't go to any big trouble finding it. I can do that myself at some point. ++ I hope you have something as entertaining to look forward to soon. Or... at least not anything ooky. There's something to be said for not-ooky. TTFN! :D

Lovin' the Clark Kent kitteh! I'd never thought of it before, but yeah... without phone booths, that guy is in a world of hurt. Have you watched any of Supergirl? It was OK. Not the coolest show, but not the worst. Mostly Mark wanted to see it, so we watched it. Anyway, if you haven't seen it, it seems like Supergirl always has her costume/uniform on under her clothes. (Yet there are never any "panty" lines.) When it's time to fly off and save the world, she just rips her shirt open and there's the Big Ol' S. Of course, they never explain where/how she gets her cape or tights. When she's wearing pants, the second is not prob, but when she's in a skirt or dress? For that matter, how does she get her Supergirl skirt tucked in when she is wearing pants? The lives of super heroes... who knew they were even more complicated than we previously thought? Oh, and... when does she find time to sew all those shirt buttons back on? Inquiring minds want to know...

Mark works second shift so the only time we ever get to go out to eat together is on weekends. Even lunch time won't work, because he's doing the crazy making getting ready to do whatever errands he can't do on weekends and then get to work on time. S'kay, though. I actually didn't want to go out on Sunday night anyway, because Episode 2/10 of the new season of Game of Thrones was on. I made up a skillet of something I invented, which has sliced Andouille sausage, chopped onion and green and red bell peppers, a can of baked beans, some brown mustard, ketchup, and a few dashes of hickory smoke flavor in it. I call it Andouille Skillet. Fairly fast, very tasty, and very filling. Not at all healthy, but hey, that's what birthday dinners are for, right? Mark often does the cooking on weekends because... <shakes head in disbelief> ...he actually *likes* cooking. But this recipe is my baby and it's what I wanted. He *did* get me multiple presents - three special edition Terry Pratchett books all the way from England, as well a Doctor Who coloring book. The pictures in that one are gorgeous, although there are some I'll **never** be able to color, the ones with the scariest of the alien monsters. Too creepy to even look at! But lots of good ones, too. Phooey on the recent "Adult coloring is sooo relaxing" fad! I've been doing coloring like that since back in the 1980s, aifinkso! And a lot of the recent so-called "relaxing" coloring books are chock-full of overly detailed pics with tons of tiny spaces. Fussy, fussy, fussy! For myself, I can do small spaces, but I also like to have larger ones, too. Doing wide swathes of color is what's relaxing for me. So... yeah. A pretty good birthday. :D

Welcome, sweetie! Hug felt good and I will pass along the rubs in a few minutes. Your weather report could have been MY weather report. So nice to have....nice. Been a long day in the pooter lab so imma go feed the cats and then feed me. I'm re-reading Harry Potters for the first time in years, so I also have that to look forward to. Hope Mark is taking you somewhere special. Or at least cooking? Love you long time!!!

Fang-Q, linder! That's a lovely birthday LOL. :D Consider yourself hugged and your kittehs rubbed. Finally had a nice sunny day here, after a very chilly, dark, gloomy, and rainy weekend. We had really nice amounts of rain, though, which we really needed. We had been about half-way behind where we should of been for rain-to-date for the year, but now we're more than an inch ahead! *clappity-clappity*!!!

Big storms.... big storms, not bit storms. That's a computer thing and it makes my head hurt to think about it. And please disregard numerous other typos and grammatical errors in the last post. Sheesh....
By Emerald63 on Apr 17, 2016 at 4:59 PM
Happy Sundog! I signed out just a few minutes before you posted your last reply. 2-3"? That's pathetic! The Colorado Rockies were supposed to get 20"+, but I think I saw that they actually got over 50"!!! =:O Holy Snowblowers, Batman!! Your jump up to 78' may be typical Montana craziness, but the same things happening in lots of places, places where it's not typical. We've had it happen on occasion over the years, but it seems like it's becoming much more common here. I gotta say, I like it more than, say, 2 weeks solid of 105'+ weather, but it worries me more. It ain't normal, so who knows what new even more nightmarish oddity might happen next? So yeah, we got rain last night, but a nice slow, steady rain, which is what we've needed badly since the beginning of the year. It's been doing a bit off and on today, but not as much. However, it looks like we might get some heavy duty stuff after midnight. Don't think I've ever shared this here, but years ago there was a huge storm at night. A bolt of lightning struck a big tree that wasn't more than 15' from the house. The sound was so loud it woke me up out of a dead sleep and made me sit bolt upright and scream! Turned out that it blew our electricity which, in turn, exploded the picture tube in our bedroom TV. We were very lucky that didn't shatter the screen, or we would have both been littered with shards. All told we lost 2 TVs, multiple stereo components, a ceiling fan, a blender, and answering machine and a bread machine. Know what was really *sweet* though? Mark coming to me several days later, his head hanging, and saying in a very small, contrite voice, "You were right... I'm really glad we got renter's insurance." Score! Actually, it had been my mother's idea. She payed for it for me while I was still single and Mark kept the policy going after I moved in with him. :D After the old landlord pretty much forced us into ownership of the place on us (after the Great Gas Leak Debacle of '14) we were able to get a policy to act like the renter's insurance had, since the dump wouldn't qualify for homeowner's insurance, not even the cut rate state-sponsored sort. So.... cross your fingers for us that tonight is just big rain - which we need - and not bit storms, which we don't. :)

We had a day and half of snow....left about 2-3 inches on the ground as of 3pm yesterday. It was all gone by noon today. Supposed to be 78 by next weekend. Typical Montana Psycho Psypring!! :D

Fang-Q, fang-q bery mush! Did I do a good job of covering up the fact that I was pretty much drawing a blank on real world catchphrases? Well, one word ones, anyway. Could think of a zillion multi-word ones, but no, that wasn't the game. ++ So, you snowed under yet? We're due to get a sh*t-load of rain here over the next couple of days. Sure, we need it, but a month's worth all at once? Dang!
By mamawalker on Apr 16, 2016 at 2:09 PM
CAT-phrases!! LOL!!! :D
