Lovin' the Clark Kent kitteh! I'd never thought of it before, but yeah... without phone booths, that guy is in a world of hurt. Have you watched any of Supergirl? It was OK. Not the coolest show, but not the worst. Mostly Mark wanted to see it, so we watched it. Anyway, if you haven't seen it, it seems like Supergirl always has her costume/uniform on under her clothes. (Yet there are never any "panty" lines.) When it's time to fly off and save the world, she just rips her shirt open and there's the Big Ol' S. Of course, they never explain where/how she gets her cape or tights. When she's wearing pants, the second is not prob, but when she's in a skirt or dress? For that matter, how does she get her Supergirl skirt tucked in when she is wearing pants? The lives of super heroes... who knew they were even more complicated than we previously thought? Oh, and... when does she find time to sew all those shirt buttons back on? Inquiring minds want to know...

Mark works second shift so the only time we ever get to go out to eat together is on weekends. Even lunch time won't work, because he's doing the crazy making getting ready to do whatever errands he can't do on weekends and then get to work on time. S'kay, though. I actually didn't want to go out on Sunday night anyway, because Episode 2/10 of the new season of Game of Thrones was on. I made up a skillet of something I invented, which has sliced Andouille sausage, chopped onion and green and red bell peppers, a can of baked beans, some brown mustard, ketchup, and a few dashes of hickory smoke flavor in it. I call it Andouille Skillet. Fairly fast, very tasty, and very filling. Not at all healthy, but hey, that's what birthday dinners are for, right? Mark often does the cooking on weekends because... <shakes head in disbelief> ...he actually *likes* cooking. But this recipe is my baby and it's what I wanted. He *did* get me multiple presents - three special edition Terry Pratchett books all the way from England, as well a Doctor Who coloring book. The pictures in that one are gorgeous, although there are some I'll **never** be able to color, the ones with the scariest of the alien monsters. Too creepy to even look at! But lots of good ones, too. Phooey on the recent "Adult coloring is sooo relaxing" fad! I've been doing coloring like that since back in the 1980s, aifinkso! And a lot of the recent so-called "relaxing" coloring books are chock-full of overly detailed pics with tons of tiny spaces. Fussy, fussy, fussy! For myself, I can do small spaces, but I also like to have larger ones, too. Doing wide swathes of color is what's relaxing for me. So... yeah. A pretty good birthday. :D

Welcome, sweetie! Hug felt good and I will pass along the rubs in a few minutes. Your weather report could have been MY weather report. So nice to have....nice. Been a long day in the pooter lab so imma go feed the cats and then feed me. I'm re-reading Harry Potters for the first time in years, so I also have that to look forward to. Hope Mark is taking you somewhere special. Or at least cooking? Love you long time!!!

Fang-Q, linder! That's a lovely birthday LOL. :D Consider yourself hugged and your kittehs rubbed. Finally had a nice sunny day here, after a very chilly, dark, gloomy, and rainy weekend. We had really nice amounts of rain, though, which we really needed. We had been about half-way behind where we should of been for rain-to-date for the year, but now we're more than an inch ahead! *clappity-clappity*!!!

Big storms.... big storms, not bit storms. That's a computer thing and it makes my head hurt to think about it. And please disregard numerous other typos and grammatical errors in the last post. Sheesh....
By Emerald63 on Apr 17, 2016 at 4:59 PM
Happy Sundog! I signed out just a few minutes before you posted your last reply. 2-3"? That's pathetic! The Colorado Rockies were supposed to get 20"+, but I think I saw that they actually got over 50"!!! =:O Holy Snowblowers, Batman!! Your jump up to 78' may be typical Montana craziness, but the same things happening in lots of places, places where it's not typical. We've had it happen on occasion over the years, but it seems like it's becoming much more common here. I gotta say, I like it more than, say, 2 weeks solid of 105'+ weather, but it worries me more. It ain't normal, so who knows what new even more nightmarish oddity might happen next? So yeah, we got rain last night, but a nice slow, steady rain, which is what we've needed badly since the beginning of the year. It's been doing a bit off and on today, but not as much. However, it looks like we might get some heavy duty stuff after midnight. Don't think I've ever shared this here, but years ago there was a huge storm at night. A bolt of lightning struck a big tree that wasn't more than 15' from the house. The sound was so loud it woke me up out of a dead sleep and made me sit bolt upright and scream! Turned out that it blew our electricity which, in turn, exploded the picture tube in our bedroom TV. We were very lucky that didn't shatter the screen, or we would have both been littered with shards. All told we lost 2 TVs, multiple stereo components, a ceiling fan, a blender, and answering machine and a bread machine. Know what was really *sweet* though? Mark coming to me several days later, his head hanging, and saying in a very small, contrite voice, "You were right... I'm really glad we got renter's insurance." Score! Actually, it had been my mother's idea. She payed for it for me while I was still single and Mark kept the policy going after I moved in with him. :D After the old landlord pretty much forced us into ownership of the place on us (after the Great Gas Leak Debacle of '14) we were able to get a policy to act like the renter's insurance had, since the dump wouldn't qualify for homeowner's insurance, not even the cut rate state-sponsored sort. So.... cross your fingers for us that tonight is just big rain - which we need - and not bit storms, which we don't. :)

We had a day and half of snow....left about 2-3 inches on the ground as of 3pm yesterday. It was all gone by noon today. Supposed to be 78 by next weekend. Typical Montana Psycho Psypring!! :D

Fang-Q, fang-q bery mush! Did I do a good job of covering up the fact that I was pretty much drawing a blank on real world catchphrases? Well, one word ones, anyway. Could think of a zillion multi-word ones, but no, that wasn't the game. ++ So, you snowed under yet? We're due to get a sh*t-load of rain here over the next couple of days. Sure, we need it, but a month's worth all at once? Dang!
By mamawalker on Apr 16, 2016 at 2:09 PM
CAT-phrases!! LOL!!! :D
By Emerald63 on Apr 9, 2016 at 2:46 PM
O Noze! U losted teh dee to teh littur bawks?! Befoar she killifies u, I fink ur wife gonna poop all ober u! Cuz she ain't got noware else to goze! D'OH!!! LOL ++ So did the snow ever end? How much'd ya get? Is it gone yet? It's 73' and supposed to be 85' tomorrow. But boy, do we have wind. Exactly what we *don't* need as there are more enormous wildfires all over north central Oklahoma and south central Kansas. The wet snow we got helped a lot in putting out the last big fire and we're supposed to get rain on Monday, plus much cooler temps. Hopefully that will put... wait for it... a damper(!) on the current fires. ++ Hope you're having a great Caturday! :)

Yikes on the surprise snow! That happened to us on the aforementioned Easter Sunday. We got home from vacay on the night of 3/25. It had been around 70' earlier that day. The next day was cooler, but still nice. Then late, late, late Saturday evening - BOOM! - snow. By very early Sunday morning we had about 3" of the really wet gloppy stuff. But by early afternoon almost every last bit had melted off. Didn't give Mark any problems going up to his folks' place, though. And... it helped *enormously* in helping to begin curbing the Anderson Creek wildfire about 50 miles southwest of us. That sucker started while we were still away and was only just finally put out a few days ago. Over 400,000 acres of prairie burned, 600 head of cattle and 12 buffalo dead, 11 homes destroyed, and thousands of miles of fence to be replaced at between $7K and $10K per mile. Still, on the upside, no human injuries or deaths that we've heard about. ++ I suppose you're familiar with high winds where you are? Today we've had sustained winds at 30-35mph with gusts up to 50mph. That's the sort of thing that kept the Anderson fire going and, sadly, is helping along a new fire southwest of that site, down in Oklahoma. Saw that when I went to check on the wind speed at weather.com. They also said our southwest winds will stop by sometime tonight. But... they'll be even stronger, just out of the northwest. GRRR!!! ++ I hope none of your balcony stuff got ruined in the snow. Was that plants, mostly? See, there are times when it pays to have brown thumbs like I do. :P ++ I posted some pics of the vacay waterfall I mentioned and added captions. They're in My Stuff if you want to see them. I'm gonna try posting the brief video Mark made, too. ++ Hope you're not completely snowed in! (((Hugs)))

Saw you pop in!! Snowing like crazy right now....have to go get my stuff off of the balcony...it was 50 degrees a couple of hours ago....dang....TTYL!! smooches

Ooo, dat wuz a purrty orchid bloomin! Fang-Q! I hope you had a nice Easter. That was our second day back so I was more than ready to stay home, but Mark went up to see his folks at the farm just for the day. His dad's health is declining and he wanted to see him. Good thing, too, because after dinner his dad's legs went out from under him and he was pale, breathing shallow, and out of it. They got him into a chair and called 911. He was in the hospital for a couple days and is now at a rehab facility to get some strength. They don't think he had a stroke or heart attack, but instead likely a seizure. Go figure. He's had several small strokes over the past couple years. They even found a small clot on one of the scans, but they could tell it wasn't super recent. No telling if it had been 2 days before or 2 weeks or 2 months, just not new. Anyway, his dad turns 89 on April 12 and we're all hoping he'll be home by then. I've never gotten the point of pushing folks that old too hard with physical therapy. I mean, if it actually helps, yes, but then again pushing them too hard can actually make them worse. So, that was his folks' Easter. Blah. Hope yours was much nicer. ++ Um... "best story"? You mean the best story from my trip? That would be taking my husband to a way cool place I went to as a kid but hadn't been back to in decades. Haw Creek Falls is about 30 minutes from my dad's hometown, though we got lost when we took the wrong road and had to double back after getting vague, but ultimately correct directions. It's a lovely waterfall, only about 8' high, but around 50' wide, nestled in the lovely Ozark Mountains. It was chilly, but we did spend an hour or so climbing on the rocks and taking pictures. I'll post some of my own soon, but for now this site has a 15 photo gallery. Just click on the link in the lower right of the main photo here: http://alltrails.com/trail/us/arkansas/haw-creek-falls-trail. The falls were full on when we were there, but this gallery shows how much the water flow can vary. ++ BTW, 83' here today.

Ohai, sweetie!! Glad you're back!! Hope you had a great time....best story? Nah, the snow has just come in spurts with surprisingly mild weather in between. We're forecast for a few inches starting tonight but lately, that doesn't seem to pan out. First day of Spring? 58 and gorgeous!! Second day of Spring? 28 and spittin' snow!! LOL! Gotta love Montana!! So....Happy Spring: http://cheezburger.com/8762234880 Much love, linder (Ohai, Mark!!!)

Hiya Mama! Back from our trip. You still getting snow-hammered? It's not only much cooler here than in Florida, it's much cooler here now than it was *before* we left. Grrr.....

Sweetie, I will help you stand, sit down, lie down, run, skip, surf, or snowboard. Whatever you need, want, or like. Why? Because you're worth it. Me love you long time, too. - Em <3
