Been awhile since I thought of that movie. I remember thinking at the time that it was funnier than I thought it was going to be. I was thinking after making the lol that the title should have been "DeFrost Nixon"

It is tough when they get old. Sounds like the potential for a great time in Bend! Say hi to Syl. Miss her but she is in a better place (that sounded like she is dead hehe).

Dam auto correct. Dog screw's it up and runs into the house

We had been leaving dog food at the back door when we knew we would be away for a bit. A skunk kept coming by and taking it. I am torn by the smell and how dam cute they are. Tail up in the air, butt wobbling back and forth. And then the dog food and screw's it up and then rubs info the house. For years, every time it rained we were reminded of that day as the smell seeped out of the ground.

Thanks! Your neighbours seem better than mine. Apparently this new sharing economy we live in doesn't include the neighbours wife. Now I have to buy an apology card and gift basket :-(

All we need is love (and cash). My guess is that we will start seeing a lot of CCTV cameras popping up all over the place like Britain. I guess it is as good a reason as any to stop picking my nose ;-)

You haven't missed it,I think. News says it is starting around 11:30 and total eclipse after 3 am. I have the overnight shift. No clouds tonight, just a little haze. Moon is bright but can't see stars.

Thanks! I am doing good. I have decided to learn how to play guitar. Doing a 60 day challenge online. I have never played a guitar before so the next 60 days should be interesting. I figure I am just sitting around anyways so I might as well pick up a guitar.

Thanks! Ya, you would think a joke that goes back to at least the 1840's would get old at some point.

Thanks! Your lol inspired me

Last year it took me a couple minutes to figure out what I was seeing. The lights weren't really sharp and it looked like green fog rolling in. Green fog is probably not a good thing ;-) As the night went on, the lights got brighter. Good couple of hours of viewing, pretty cool.

Clear night sky but alas no northern lights.

By heyman on Sep 13, 2014 at 4:18 AM

I did see a cool falling star. Flames off its tail as it was breaking up. So close that it looked like it landed on the other side of the hill in front of me. Probably was miles and miles away.

No. First part of the evening was cloudy. Now the clouds are fine but the moon is too bright. Sigh. The job sought is on the outskirts of town so it would have been a great place to see the northern lights. Seen them here before so maybe next time.

Good one. I feel like I had seen something like it before on Schoolhouse Rocks or something. Too much American TV when I was growing up.

Newfoundland is reconstructing a Basque whaling ship that sunk in the area in 1565. Only Newfoundland ship builder joke I could come up with was this: What's the difference between a Newfoundland boat builder and a large pizza? A large pizza will feed a family of four.
