Thanks! Ya, you would think a joke that goes back to at least the 1840's would get old at some point.

Last year it took me a couple minutes to figure out what I was seeing. The lights weren't really sharp and it looked like green fog rolling in. Green fog is probably not a good thing ;-) As the night went on, the lights got brighter. Good couple of hours of viewing, pretty cool.

Clear night sky but alas no northern lights.

I saw a great falling star too! Was talking to another lady, lives on our road, I was looking one way, she another, she saw a big one too! I heard it actually didn't happen,as far as the lights. The timing of that beautiful moon, always some great event, or overcast. Will check mo info... Mebbe tanight. Pc

I did see a cool falling star. Flames off its tail as it was breaking up. So close that it looked like it landed on the other side of the hill in front of me. Probably was miles and miles away.

No. First part of the evening was cloudy. Now the clouds are fine but the moon is too bright. Sigh. The job sought is on the outskirts of town so it would have been a great place to see the northern lights. Seen them here before so maybe next time.

Stoopy BORE-ealush. You get ta see any north Lites? It prolly started right after I came down the hill.

Good one. I feel like I had seen something like it before on Schoolhouse Rocks or something. Too much American TV when I was growing up.

Newfoundland is reconstructing a Basque whaling ship that sunk in the area in 1565. Only Newfoundland ship builder joke I could come up with was this: What's the difference between a Newfoundland boat builder and a large pizza? A large pizza will feed a family of four.

By heyman on Sep 4, 2014 at 6:54 PM

I assume that you aren't talking about the construction of one in Newfoundland ;-)

Haha, you got me.

Bad joke? Do I want to read it? I am 47, but a young 47. hehe

I started to wonder where you were the other day. Good to see you back.

Things are okay up here. Molly is liking working for the YM/YWCA. I can't see her ever going back to school but one lives in hope. I have a mediator meeting with my future ex but have to wait until end of October. She makes more money than me so the situation is reversed from the usual. Hopefully we can work something out, time to move on.

#thankyou #celebrate #broke #cookingsherry Doing good. Warm summer so far. Worked this weekend at the beer garden for the Sicamous Stomp and burnout. Bikers from all over come for the weekend. My job was to get dudes to leave their knifes at the gate. Only a couple of patch members from biker gangs this year, last year there were lots. Overall a things went smooth and everyone seemed to be having a good time. How you doing?

Fire map. BC is so frickin' big it really spreads out the fires. http://cheezburger.com/8257759232

By heyman on Jul 16, 2014 at 5:01 PM

We are good in Kamloops. There are lots of fires in BC but most are way north or closer to the US border. We just happen to be in an area where winds carry smoke. Last year we had smoke from a Russian fire and we always get smoke from US fires. Currently there are 31 active fires of note and they all seem to be sending smoke signals to us.

Cool. I added a mug without words for people to use and I see you going it.

By heyman on Jun 15, 2014 at 8:09 AM

Ya, Molly gave me that cup and then tried not to laugh for 5 minutes. I told her i have no problem with her getting pregnant, just never ever get married. I might be going through things right now that are tainting my view ;-)
