Thank you for dat Kristmas Kard LOL wiff dat funny looking kittie! He sure duz have a sad or disinterested look to him - he's a funny kittie! I also wish you a very Merry Christmas and a most wonderful New Year and beyond.. Oh! an' dat also goes for sweet Suzie!
Wow! Those fireworks must have been pretty close for your poor kittie to get so scared! But it's great that you comforted her.. There's never been fireworks close enough to where I live to be loud enough to maek Blackie get scared. But in a thunderstorm, if there's a loud thunderclap, then Blackie (and me too!) can get frightened, and then he tries to hide somewhere! But usually he's pretty brave. I hope that you and sweet Suzie have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year too!
Oh yes, I like the weather to sort of stay the same for at least 3 or 4 days. I'm very familiar with those "tremors" being in SoCal and all. Oddly, the first temblor I felt was in Boston. Hope your niece's boy is okay. xox

That's a surprise to me about Australia not having any rabies.. I had heard something about Great Britian not having rabies, except for a rare case once in a while, but never heard about Australia. That has to be extremely hard to eradicate it. It probably helps that Australia doesn't have borders with other countries that makes it easier to eliminate rabies. Here in the US we have infected animals that can come across our borders with Mexico and Canada. I was bitten by a raccoon about 3 years ago and had to get those rabies shots over a period of about 6 weeks.
