Pupkin - pumpkin, close enough. Looked up the name and Rupert Pupkin is the character Robert De Niro plays in The King of Comedy who wants to achieve success in showbiz, by resorting to stalking his idol, a late night talk show host. Makes the name and her online persona even funnier now.
OH, hi there, Safrida.. I habs a little inkling of som of what psom has in mind, an' I'm sure that it will be very entertaining. I'd be most happy to participate, but right now I'm working on my taxes (UGHHH!!), which have to be completed by Tuesday, unless I take an extension. And the taxes are particularly messy and frustrating this year, so I'll be tied up for a few days, and probably can't make any LOLs for a few days, unless it's a very quick one. So you habs to take up the slacks from me for a cupple days - OK?
My 'pawlogeez fur furgettin dat wuz ur LOL! So, do *you* know who started this latest side story? ++ It's nice and dry here today and is supposed to be tomorrow, too. Yesterday we had some rain, but not too much. Just enough, along with outrageous wind, to make driving back to my town from Wichita (about an hour away) after dark a real pain. I'd been to a doctor's appt and to take my best friend to dinner. She and her boyfriend of 12 years split in January (not her idea - a total shock, actually) and she's still trying to cope. The chilly rain is supposed to be back Sunday and for much of next week, too. Blah. Just... blah. At least there are plenty of pics of sunny, tropical places online to look at, and in 3 of the 4 calendars we have in strategic spots around the house. Sigh... I wish I could find out who pissed off summer and made it not want to come back.......
So... it's Friday... is it snowing up your way... again? Sorry to hear about you slippy-sliding so much, but glad to know you did *not* land on your butt. My brother and his girlfriend spent Valentine's weekend in NYC (they live in Schenectady) and *both* of them managed to take a bad fall. No broken bones or sprains, thankfully, but bruises of both flesh and dignity, along with achy skeletons. I have to agree with you - "weird" is *the* word to describe the past few months of weather. ++ I have to wonder if I'm destined to never be around for the actual beginning of a KKPS adventure. I mean, sure, the advertised events, but not the spontaneous ones like Missy's rescue. I always seem to find them already in progress. And since they took away dates from our LOLs there's no way to tell which LOL started a story. Grrr... Did you see the one where one of the boys was triangulating Missy's position by tracking her ID chip? I *love* how he says, "Gentlemen, lock and load." Silly boy - kittehs is **always** locked and loaded, wut wif teh shapr poynty ends an teh big teef!
