Hi, no worries on replies, you mentioned being busier than usual. The default save location for Paint is the Pictures folder. (C:\Users\(your-username)\Pictures) If you choose "Save as" instead of save you'll have the opportunity to specify the save location as well as change the file name. Hope this helps, let me know if this works for you and if you have any more questions.
You're welcome, glad you liked it and gratified to know I properly distilled your feelings _and_ hit on a song you like. I was going to make it even shorter using only the last two lines but decided it needed a bit of set-up. Thanks for the July 4 date, I updated the lol-comment. You're welcome x2, always ready to help and support a friend. PS Did you get a chance to try the picture size reduction tip?
Thanks for the feedback, let me know if you have any more trouble uploading pictures. You're welcome on support - you were one my first friends here, very helpful in the beginning especially. I'm honored to count you as a friend.
Sorry my last message missed you. Absent your answer, I'll just explain here. Your late cat's name reminded me of a couple of lines from "Learning To Fly" by Pink Floyd ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCB_INs2E24 ), which are "Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies / Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I" My version wouldn't change too many words: "Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies / Tongue-tied, eyes misted - no more earth-bound Misfit...bye" Not sure when I'll be on next...great weekend to you.
whoops missed a message. OK, then that goes back to what I said before - then pictures are too big for ICHC to fit, so it tries to fit them as best it can, which means flipping it sideways. Happened to me. When I made the picture smaller it uploaded normally.
oh btw maybe I misunderstood your question. Are the pictures sideways after uploading or are they sideways on your PC? If the latter, IrfanView has a batch mode feature where you can rotate all the pictures at once. (That, and several other bits of surgery can be done in batch mode.)
The picture might be too big. That makes ICHC software flip it sideways in an attempt to make it fit. Try reducing it in any graphics program, where the largest dimension is no more than 800-1000 pixels. You don't need a fancy program, even MS paint can resize. I use the free IrfanView (btw the author has been providing his work free for over ten years and has finally decided he needs to get some money from it, so he has partnered with Ask or somebody, forget who. Just be sure to uncheck that part during installation. It's nothing "evil," it's a minor detail; IrfanView remains a fine program.), but really, there's no need - MS paint can rotate pictures and resize. Good luck, feel free to ask again if you have any more trouble.
Hi Shane. Love "I'm checking my post for comments," one of your best pithy lols. Even nicer, you used one of my photos. I'm up to 23,000 uploaded, btw. I keep inviting people to cruise through my picture stash; unfortunately the sheer number makes the section load very slowly. "No good deed goes unpunished," eh? Have a great weekend.
