Thank you very much! I hope everyone wasn't mislead. This was the first anniversary of her death. But she was very special to me & I have missed her alot. She would be thrilled to see how much 'attention' her tribute has gotten. Well, no, she probably wouldn't be thrilled as she wasn't a "me" person. She was a 'what do you need, sweetie' person! Thanks again & Hugs! Deb (BTW- How is Wally White-toes? My furry regional friend!!)
My son was in the 82nd Airborne 1990--1995. He BARELY missed Desert Storm! Did spend a year at the NATO @ Sinai Peninsula. VietNam!! That's my era, though not in the service. My 1st husband, my sons' father, was there '68-'69--@ Khe Sahn when it was overtaken. We had barely met before he left, but we wrote through his tour & married soon after his return. He could never really open up & tell me anything, but finally was able to some to his 2nd wife after about 15 yrs. & she told me. I lost several friends there & had MANY to go, get wounded, or return "torn up". HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE TIME! Where & when were you & your duty?--if you don't mind!
I took Orinch to the Door County Humane Society. He will be vetted, neutered, and have the chance for a forever home. DCHS is low kill ~ an honest statement that they kill only for medical imperative. I know that is true since I volunteered there for a year and half. Thak you for your caring, too.
This is my message to MessiahMews & her reply, so we're trying! Again, if I thought the stray or any other like him would be content in this dinky place, I'd do it. Don't want to just "try" with someone though as that would be even more traumatic to them. Don't know if you've seen the Lols I've made of my Millie & her "bag" & now "stroller", but even she got depressed being here. (As well as myself!) Okay here's the messages: By venusdemilo on Sep 24, 2012 at 8:38 PM http://cheezburger.com/6607332352 You worked so miracuously on the other kittehs. This is a stray in FarClan's neighborhood (in WI--not too far from you). With your previous researching, it there anybody, anything, anywhere that could take him or help her with him? --Deb By MessiahMews on Sep 26, 2012 at 11:58 PM Thanks! I posted it on FB. We are in ID, which is still a long ways from WI, but I may have some WI friends on there, plus there are some of the animal rescue pages I'm a fan of, that's closeby.
Wally Whitetoes IS quite a fella. He was a dumped kitten andlived in dumpsters in Atlanta for a few years; was captured in a round up and put in a kill shelter from which he was rescued and kept in a cage at PetsMart for two years and that is where I got him in 2003. He has never expressed ANY desire to go outside again! Tell me about MessiahMews again?
