Have a marvelous birthday tomorrow, Deb! Hugs, Brenda

I don't get along with laptops either. That scrunched up keyboard and that touch pad drive me up the wall. I have to use one at work through. I did get a USB mouse to use with it, and I would hook up a full size keyboard if I had room for it. Your typo when you signed the message to your son is hilarious, but I do understand your frustration.

When my previous computer crashed, my Dad was very gracious in buying me another one as he knew how much I enjoyed it. I really know nothing about the things except desk top & lap top so I let my brother & a friend do the shopping. I only said NO LAPTOP! I remembered when my youngest son was in college after his Army stint (& living back with me)He was issued a lap top & I was thrilled as I could keep in touch with my son in DC easily. After trying to type a few lines that were fully of mistakes because of my fat stubby fingers, I threw my hangs in the air & said @#$%^&*(. About 6 months later I visited my son in DC & he had saved that email that I hadn't seen yet & dubbed me with my new nickname--instead of typing "Love, Momma", I typed "Love Monna"! A lap top would come in nice now not having to sit in this chair, but heaven only knows how many and what kinds of typos I would make. Better leave well enough alone.!

I have my addictive computer back indeed. Some are welded to their phones and others to their tablets. I prefer a full size computer. LOL I'm glad you enjoy the things I send. The Cosby piece is one of my favorites too. I'm still putting things back, but it will be straight eventually. Thank you for your kind message, and I hope things keep right on going just fine for you. Hugs, Brenda

You're back! Did they unborked your puter? I know how much it means to you--actually how much you're addicted to it, so I'm glad. Thanks so much for the emails & ecards--I really do enjoy them & at this point with my being away from the computer so long, I'm not real sure if I've answered, replied or anything. Bill Cosby was on Fallon last night & I can't help but to remember him with the Southern airhead. (I'm quite sure you sent it to me. I've got it filed away in my KEEPERS). I hope all is going well at this point & y'all take care. Hugs&Lubs

We lost power for a while, and the snow covered with ice is a pain to clear and walk in, but we are okay. I hope your area is getting back to normal.

By cataff on Feb 12, 2014 at 7:55 PM

Ohai, Deb! I'm glad you still have power and hope you keep it. I hope we will still have it by morning. We used to have multiple snow storms yearly. Then the weather patterns shifted, and it has been years since we've had as much snow as we've had this winter. It has been snowing since 2:30 and will continue until the wee hours when the mix will come. Tomorrow afternoon and evening there will be more snow before it's all over. Hubcat's hernia surgery was postponed because he had an infection. When that cleared up, we asked the surgeon if the surgery could wait until spring break in April. He said it could, so it's set for April 11. May all your frozen precipitation melt quickly. Hugs, Brenda

Hi Brenda. EDed your message to Sugarcatsmom. ED mine to her re: the storm. Never fear, I looked ahead on the calendar & Daylight Savings will start on Mar. 8. 'Course that won't make it any warmer, but more daylight & I know you're like me in wanting more light hours. Not sure what all is going on with you hubby. Last I heard was he wasn't going to have the hernia surgery ?. I don't know--it's been so long. Just wish well for both of you as I know you have to 'work' then also. Hope all the frozen precip is over. Hugs!

I love the sweet Christmas LOL! Thank you, Deb. I knew all that warm weather would have consequences. Now the thirties feel like the Arctic. Brrrrrr Our high for the day was 38, and I'm ever so glad I don't have to go out in the dark tomorrow morning. I'm crying with you--just hope our tears don't freeze. LOL Hugs, Brenda

By venusdemilo on Dec 25, 2013 at 8:00 AM // Well, it shore ain't flip-flop & short weather anymore. in 20s overnight & only 40s in day time.I think we should be neighbors & cry on each others shoulders!

By cataff on Dec 23, 2013 at 2:56 PM

My son in NYC texted me "wearing shorts & flip-flops--gosh I love winter solstice!"

By cataff on Dec 23, 2013 at 11:33 AM

I didn't miss the winter solstice. Dark depresses me, so I look forward to it and mourn on the day of summer solstice. Hooray for more light!!! Brenda

By venusdemilo on Dec 23, 2013 at 11:18 AM

Don't know if you missed it or not with all the stress this week, but it was 'winter solstice'--i.e. the days are getting longer again! Wha-hoo!!!

By cataff on Dec 23, 2013 at 8:36 AM

Thank you so much for being so supportive, Deb. It is a relief knowing we don't have to go through everything during the holidays. I hope you and yours are well and about to have a most excellent Christmas! Hugs, Brenda

By venusdemilo on Dec 22, 2013 at 8:12 PM

EDed the wonderful news that things aren't as bad as originally thought for hubby. I am SO happy for the both of you. A very Merry Christmas gift indeed that was sorely needed! Lotsa Lubs & Big Hugs! Deb

Thank you so much for your kind message, Deb. Your good wishes mean a lot to me. We're about ready to leave for the appointment with the surgeon. It helps knowing good peeps like you are thinking of us. I hope all is well with you and that you are having a relaxing Holiday Season. Hugs, Brenda

By venusdemilo on Dec 17, 2013 at 8:58 PM

EDed about more trouble with hubcat. Bless both y'alls hearts. You've been through the ringer. If it helps any, please know & remember that you'll be in my thoughts & prayers. There's just been too much sickness, surgeries, & heartaches for y'all. Much lubs & big Hugs!

By cataff on Dec 5, 2013 at 5:02 PM

Thanks, Deb! You are right that this isn't my first time losing a furry one, but as you say, it always hurts. Support from understanding friends who have been there always helps, and I can feel the comfort. I hope all is well with you. Hugs, Brenda

I'm sorry you took the time to write me a message only to have the stoopy convo page eat it. I don't know why ICHC refuses to fix that mess. It's totally aggravating, and I've done the same thing you did. I look forward to your message when you are ready to write again. Hugs, Brenda

By venusdemilo on Oct 22, 2013 at 4:09 AM

Sent you message last night & forgot about the 'show conversation' and it'sgone! Will try again later! Hugs! D~ (Stands for Dummy)

Thank you for sending the link to your sweet lol, Deb. It's good to see you sending messages again. I hope Millie and Roxie are good nurses. Can arthroscopic surgery help your knee? If one must have surgery, arthroscopic is definitely the way to go. My "vacation" ended the second week of August. All of Hubcat's restrictions have been removed, so now he has one good leg. Next spring we'll start on the other one, probably with the knee, which is worse than the hip. Have a good night. Hugs, Brenda

By venusdemilo on Sep 26, 2013 at 5:29 AM Just wanted to make sure you are included in this. I loved the e-card (for Labor Day *sigh*) & the recent emails. Been wanting to write you to say 'I guess your vacation is over (HA) & you're back at work. Is hubcat full recovered? Hope so! Lubs-Deb

By cataff on Sep 24, 2013 at 4:48 PM

Welcome back and with an FP too--congratz! I'm sorry your knee still hurts but am glad you can now sit more comfortably. I hope that there will be some improvement for the knee soon.

By cataff on Aug 9, 2013 at 6:59 AM

Welcome to Roxie! She looks so sweet and very soft. I somehow missed her arrival until today and am very glad I spotted her story on a friend's dashboard.
